We provide a varied selection of activities developed and refined by our own members. Our volunteers are trained to independently work with groups guiding them through the workshop. We also bring all equipment required for the workshop with us!
We regularly refine our activities and develop new ones to ensure we deliver the best workshops. If you are interested in working with us, contact us to learn more about our workshops.

We have an evolving and diverse list of activities that we offer in workshops. A workshop typically has one or two activities. You can find them below:
| Activity Title | Targeted Age Group | Workshop Description |
|---|---|---|
| Climate Change | 8 - 15 | This workshop consists of several group tasks that explain concepts such as the greenhouse effect, sea-level rise, and ocean acidification. We also explore the effects of renewable energy. |
| The Human Body | 9 - 12 | This is an activity that explores the different organ systems in the human body. Activities include building a stethoscope, and simulating the movement of oxygen around the body. |
| Balloon Cars | 6 - 12 | This activity is aimed at exploring forces such as friction and air resistance. Groups of participants have to work in a team to create a balloon-powered car that will race against others' cars. |
| Circuit Boards | 6 - 12 | This is an activity that introduces and explores electricity and electrical components through a fun circuit-building challenge. We use circuit systems specifically built for teaching to children and young people. |
| Forensics and Finger Prints | 7 - 10 | This is a classic "whodunnit" activity that explores forensic investigation concepts including fingerprint analysis and comparison of DNA samples. |
| Physics for Good | 10 - 15 | This workshop teaches how physics is used to solve global issues, exploring medical physics, disease modelling, and renewable energy. |
| DNA Extraction and Analysis | 10 - 15 | This is a fun experiment aimed at introducing the concept of DNA and genetics. Participants will get the chance to prepare and extract DNA from fruits with guidance from our volunteers. |
| Structural Engineering | 6 - 10 | In this workshop, participants learn about different types of bridges and the structural integrity of different shapes. Groups will then build their own bridges with limited time and resources to learn about constraints and forces. |
| Demystifying Quantum Physics | 12 - 15 | This workshop explores wave-particle duality through interactive games, building on everyday knowledge and applications. |
| Thinking Like a Scientist | 10 - 15 | This workshop aims to introduce students to the scientific method. Students will complete two investigations surrounding optics and forces and will be taken through a presentation on the scientific method. It also encourages methodical decision making when carrying out experiments. |
| Biological Physics | 10 - 12 | This workshop highlights the interdisciplinary nature of science. Participants are introduced to the field of biophysics, which they explore by looking at the dynamics of bacteria and biofilms. |
| In Development: | ||
| Geosciences | 7 - 12 | This is a taught-activity that introduces different types of rocks and explores how rocks are formed. Participants will get to handle rock samples that will complement their learning experience. |
| Space Travel and Orbits | 7 - 12 | We are currently developing an activity that teaches students about outer space and planetary orbits. Participants will build their own space crafts and simulate the orbits of the earth and the moon. |
| Natural Hazards | 10 - 15 | We are developing a workshop on natural hazards such as volcanoes and earthquakes. Participants will create their own seismographs and bottle tornadoes. |
| Musical Acoustics | 7 - 12 | We are creating a workshop based on waves, in which students will create their own musical instruments and learn about the science behind sound and vibrations. |
| Magical Magnets | 10 - 12 | Once developed, this workshop will involve participants designing and carrying out investigations into the strength of magnets and electromagnets. |
